Ubuntu 21.04 boot fails on MacBook and iMac

Bug Description

On upgrading to Ubuntu 21.04 on both my MacBook and iMac after the intro music nothing happens. Left with a frozen blank screen. Only way out is to hold the power button. Using efi boot.

Yes it is the same as that bug. Couldn’t find anything before I reported it!
