Bug Description
I installed Ubuntu 20.04.2 on an Acer Aspire E 15 (E5-575G-32NY) laptop, which works fine except for waking up after hibernation mode.
Step to reproduce
When I close the lid of the laptop, it goes in hibernation mode and when opening it does only show a black screen with a static (cursor?) underscore in the top left corner. After a few seconds, it goes to complete black, but the backlight is still active. No matter how long I leave the laptop in this state, it does not change so a hard reboot is needed to restart.
Steps taken to try to solve
- Disable and blacklist Nouveau nvidia driver on Ubuntu 20.04 Focal Fossa Linux
- Checked if same happens when using command systemctl hibernate (same result)
