Bug Description

After starting my computer, ubuntu dock was absent. Through using the hot corner it is reachable and functional, but otherwise it is invisible.
The settings | appearance menu: position on screen dropdown goes blank, but setting anything does not either change (fix) the position. The rest of settings is greyed out.
The hints from https://itsfoss.com/disable-ubuntu-dock/: the "extensions" application does not list anything from the "built-in" section, e.g. desktop icons + ubuntu appindicators + ubuntu dock.
In case I try to reinstall (enable?) dock from gnome extensions, it says "error". Before the on-off button changed permanently to "error", triggering it put these lines in logs:

It may be the result of system corruption, since in the last years my computer tends NOT to come back from suspend (from 30% now it reached 100%).

I managed to fix it simply by reinstall -- 'sudo apt-get remove gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock' or even better 'sudo apt-get remove gnome-shell-extensions gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock'.
Other gnome extensions are still impossible to add though, however it may be a different problem.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.

Further to your feedback I'll close this as being invalid as the issue seems to have been resolved, in part at least, by reinstalling the ubuntu-dock package.

Should you experience similar problems in future please raise a bug report against the affected package and not ubiquity (the installer). Thanks.
