Bug Description

I am using ubuntu gutsy 7.10 amd64. My graphics card is ati x1400 and I am using proprietary driver. The tty were working with this driver before something broke the tty.

By some way my tty's got disabled at ubuntu 9.10.

The only way to get them work is: sudo start tty1 .... tty6

"sudo initctl list" shows all tty are stop/waiting. Why?

Using nvidia graphic card.
