2. Power on the system
3. Select USB drive to launch the grub menu
4. Select "OEM installation" or "Ubuntu" option to run the installation
5. Check if the system can run the installation

[Expected result]
The system can run the installation properly

[Actual result]
The system always stops at "Initramfs unpacking failed: Decoding failed" after selecting "OEM installation" or "Ubuntu" option

[Failure rate]
3/3

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1890257/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Thanks for Rex's suggestion/information.
The system can proceed with the Ubuntu system installation after selecting the "Ubuntu (Safe graphics)" option on the grub menu.

A side effect is observed.
After the fresh installation with the safe graphics mode, the system cannot boot into the desktop. It shows a black screen with the screen afterimage.

The NVIDIA RTX6000 is not supporetd by the nouveau, and should be supported when the users use the nvidia proprietary driver from ubuntu 3rd party drivers.

The expected behavior would be
- the user use "safe graphie" mode to install the system, and install "3rd party drivers."
- reboot and the user should have the proprietary driver installed.

we can lower the priority .

Changed in ubuntu:
importance: Undecided → Low
affects: ubuntu → linux
