Shieldsup says "failed" Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore such ping requests in order to better hide systems from hackers. This is highly recommended since "Ping" is among the oldest and most common methods used to locate systems prior to further exploitation.

Not a firefox bug, not sure where this goes, I'm not sure it's exactly a bug - is there a security policy about this?

Default on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) Beta 2:
Solicited TCP Packets: RECEIVED (FAILED) & Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED)

Ran from Terminal:
sudo ufw default deny && sudo ufw enable && sudo ufw allow out 53,137,138/udp && sudo ufw allow out 20,21,22,25,80,139,443,5900,8001/tcp && sudo ufw deny out to any && sudo ufw status numbered

Solicited TCP Packets: PASSED, but Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED). However all ports were "Stealth" (green) which is great.

Affects Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) sudo ufw status Status: inactive default settings. TruStealth Analysis FAILED. Try at your own risk! (as usual): sudo ufw default deny && sudo ufw enable && sudo ufw allow out 53,137,138/udp && sudo ufw allow out 20,21,22,25,80,139,443,5900,8001/tcp && sudo ufw deny out to any && sudo ufw status numbered

TruStealth Analysis FAILED, but now ports are stealth, however "Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED)".
