Bug Description
I have just finished to install ubuntu for desktop few days ago and I found a problem: I wanted to play a mp3, but I had no codecs for this file, so I gave search for a codec/plug-in and I found GStreamer extra plug-in but when I gave the command install it appears a message that announced me that this codec/plugin (I don't know what exactly is) is in conflict whit another application system: "Cannot install 'gstreamer0.
This application conflicts with other installed software. To install 'gstreamer0.
Switch to the 'synaptic' package manager to resolve this conflict. " OK I understood the problem, BUT my question is HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PROGRAM SHOULD I REMOVE?!? It doesn't tell me, what should I do? What do you recommend me to do?
Please execute the command
dpkg -l | grep gstreamer
and paste its output here.
