Bug Description

The gpp4 library provides a drop-in replacement for the non-free CCP4 libraries for macromolecular crystallography. The library is built around a standardized set of functions that cover common tasks, such as file opening, parsing keyworded input, reading and writing of standard data formats, applying symmetry operations, etc. Many programs in structural biology have dependencies that are covered by this library.

Sure. I maintain the package myself:

Somewhat usefully perhaps, ccp4 has been packaged for fink:

It is my understanding that gpp4 covers a part of that ccp4 package, so it is not a drop in replacement.
(Note that the licenses for ccp4 and gpp4 are different).

gpp4 is a fork of the ccp4 library that is packaged separately and released under the LPGL license.

The ccp4 package in Fink also contains applications, which are distributed under a non-free license, and it is probably not legal for the Fink project to offer them.
