Upgrading to 17.10 from 16.04, touchpad doesn't work

Bug Description

After upgrading to 17.10 from 16.04, at first there was no cursor. After automatic fixing and problem reporting, cursor appeared but only right and left buttons of touchpad work. Asus X200MA.

This is not a bug with the release upgrader rather with some other package that was upgraded during the upgrade process.

The problem fixed by installing synaptic support.

"sudo apt install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics"

Though it is for Lenovo, it worked for my Asus X200MA.

If u have a better suggestion, I am looking forward for that.

Further to comment #4, issue was fixed by installing a package that some Ubuntu flavours/configurations still require.
