Bug Description

Page : http://releases.ubuntu.com/
Displays : Ubuntu 17.10 (Artful Aardvark)

Should the link title for Artful Aardvark be Ubuntu 17.10.1 (Artful Aardvark)?

The reason I ask is because I have an automated script that pulls down the latest server iso
based on the version number that worked for the previous versions.

Thanks for your report!

I don't know who updates that page; subscribed the release team in the hope they can help.

Not an ubuntu-docs bug.

affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) → ubuntu

I understand it's confusing and inconsistent, but 17.10.1 was not a normal point release and the image names were changed specifically to avoid the danger of a user thinking they were downloading a fixed image from somewhere and instead getting one that could break their BIOS. I think we should keep the title as-is in order to avoid the greater confusion about Ubuntu's point release policy.

Changed in ubuntu-cdimage:
status: New → Won't Fix

I did this.

What I did was manually edit HEADER.html. I tried to see if this was actually generated anywhere but couldn't find that - so my conclusion is that it's manually maintained.

If that's wrong, please let me know and I'll fix it in the other place.

Changed in ubuntu:
status: Won't Fix → Invalid
Changed in ubuntu-cdimage:
status: Won't Fix → Fix Released
