Bug Description

I have an ACER laptop - TravelMate 4010 - Pentium M, 1.6 GHz with 240 MB RAM - loaded with Windows XP Home.
I used a CD [Ubuntu_7.10-desktop_i386.iso] to start it up, after loading the linux kernel 100% the screen went black, 20 minutes later I have to force it shutdown.
Anyone else had this scenario?
Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I believe this has to do with the fact that your laptop did not meet the minimum memory requirements for running the Live desktop environment for Gutsy and I am subsequently closing the bug report as invalid. However, feel free to report any future bugs you might find. Thanks!
