Wirelesss ethernet bridge is not given IP upon connection

I connect to the internet on my PC with a wireless to ethernet bridge (an external box interprets wireless signal, then sends it to my computer via ethernet cable). If the bridge is powered on upon startup, it is already connected and working correctly by the time gnome loads. However, if I power the bridge on after logging on, the network notification icon will show it connecting, and then connected, but I still have no internet access. At first, I resolved this by running 'sudo /etc/init.d/dbus restart', and then later discovered that 'sudo dhclient' would do the job as well.

 My interpretation of this is that after connecting, the device is not assigned an IP address. This is really only an inconvenience, but I don't understand why it would automatically connect and then fail to give it an IP address. I'm filing this as a bug because I am assuming it is one.

- Can you please attach the file /var/log/syslog, after you booted with the wireless bridge switched off, and turning it on after logging on?
- Can you please run the command "lsusb -v > lsusb.txt" and attach the file lsusb.txt to this bug report?

Oops, I may have been inaccurate in this bug report. I don't know why it was failing before, but now it's connecting fine regardless of when it is powered on. Sorry!
