Bug Description

Hi!

The "Burnstation" concept and the burnstation programs seems to be a great project to share free contents and to transform a computer in a powerful "station" to create compilations of medias, burning it, and share it, etc...

This project is not new, but there doesn't exist yet an easy way to install it on Ubuntu.

There exists a debian depository but it can't work with ubuntu (bad depencies i guess).
(deb http://burnstation.org/debian/ sarge main)

The only way is to create packages for ubuntu from de subversion depository of the burnstation projet.
Check this: http://tiki.burnstation.org/tiki-index.php?page=Burnstation.deb&bl

This would be a great opportunity to join free culture projects with ubuntu and free software?

Could someone create the long-awaited deposits or include the deb in univers or multiverse depository (if it is possible)?
It will be very nice! ;)

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I suspect I know what the problem with the existing package is and will take a stab at fixing it

Due to a policy change (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-motu/2007-November/002684.html) I set the status to 'Triaged'. Set it back to 'In Progress' once you have a source package up for review.

I am looking forward to have an ubuntu package for the burnstation and will definitely test it with ubuntu and xubuntu on i386 architecture!
We invited rama to develop the new burnstation version in the netculturelab http://lab.netculture.at/
and I can answer general questions about the burnstation...

Just the fact that this has been in my $HOME/Todo file for close to three months is a sign that i may never this get done. Upstream distributes its source kinda weird and an in policy package would be hard to obtain at least with one person working on it alone. If someone wants to work with me on this i'd be happy to contribute but for now i just can't do it
