Bug Description

In gutsy, using the same configuration as before, I don't get tapping (which i use for 2 finger taps only). I tracked that to the setting MaxTapTime which gets set to 0 even though in the configuration it is set to 100 (and the log confirms that). If I use synclient to fix that it works - but doing that manually is no good option.

I will attache xorg.conf and log of X

Might it be that gsynaptics/gnome mouse preferences is loading that parameter? Where are gsynaptics settings stored?

I don't have gsynaptics installed. About gnome mouse preferences I don't know how it works - I doubt it should affect synaptics driver though - maybe I'm wrong?

You were right! gnome mouse properties does affect now synaptics driver. The tap was set to off there (like I like it). enabling it fixed the problem, without enabling needlessly one-finger tap.
This can be closed now, my mistake.
