OpenStack Installation Guide for Mitaka doesn't discuss about the ec2-api service

Mitaka's release notes report that the EC2 api support in nova was dropped in Mitaka, and reports that EC2 support is now provided by the new ec2-api service.

But the installation guide doesn't mention at all how to deploy this service

After moving out of the nova repository, openstack-manuals no longer covers EC2. The ec2-api developers should provide installation instructions.

But I don't know what you expect.

this project has README with information about installing.
ec2-api integrated in devstack.
it has puppets in related repository.

Which installation guide do you mention?

For all the other services (nova, glance, etc) in the openstack manuals it is described:

- Which packages need to be installed
- The instructions to create the database and to set the relevant grants
- The instruction to create the relevant user in keystone
- The instructions to create the service and the endpoints in keystone
- The instructions to populate the database (db_sync)
- The instructions to set the most relevant attributes in the configuration file(s)
- The instructions to start the service

I think the same should be provided also for ec2-api

You can not assume that every one is using puppet to deploy openstack

This issue was fixed in the openstack/ec2-api 7.0.0 release.
