Bug Description
Hi, I think I have found a new problem, it could be just some gnome problem or it may be a security problem. I was running Ubuntu 7.04 on my computer for a long time and then I did a clean install of gutsy. While I was running Gutsy, I left it for a few seconds and noticed that the desktop switches from one screen to the other. I though I had been hacked and did a reinstall. Now this time I have a firewall configured with firestarter and I am not sharing any files or using remote desktop. Also my firewall is on and it is connected to the internet. Again my desktop switches from workspace 1 to 2 and then back to 1. What does this mean? I thought Linux was supposed to be secure or is it just a bug?
My computer specs are:
Gigabyte P4 2.7ghz
1.5gb of ram
80 gb hard disk
lan card
ac'97 audio controller
XFX Geforce 6200 512mb AGP
I am not using any other operating system on this pc, only Ubuntu 7.10.
If it helps I am using kernel 2.6.22-12 cause the latest kernel 2.6.22-14 breaks suspend to ram and hibernate and I think there has been a bug report on this. Also I never had this problem with Ubuntu 7.04 so I am sure its a 7.10 problem.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Do you mean to say that you are not physically touching anything at all and it switches on its own? I think that when you have desktop effects enabled that moving the mouse wheel will make you switch desktops. Thanks in advance.
