Fail Gnome when i strart it.

I am spanish and this message appear when start my ubuntu 7.10 and desktop effects are in " extra".
When i close the windows message, the theme of metacity change all its look like the firsts themes of gnome
old themes...mmm When i start again ( reboot or log off ) the system is all ok and normaly. Now only work whith destop "no activated" .
Please tell me what archives report you about for more details.

I have a similar problem. Mostly when i start Gutsy Gibbon on my main computer i have to restart my computer because Gnome has not totally started. I then have unusable workingspace and have to restart with my reset button. The second time the start is complete. Hence i can work with the computer without any disturbance.
