(K)ubuntu 7.10 hangs on reboot

Bug #156069 reported by chris on 2007-10-23

Bug Description

I just did two clean installs of Kubuntu Gutsy on my Dell Latitude D600. Sometimes when I reboot, it hangs with the last message being "will now restart."

Here's my uname -a: Linux chris3 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

I think this may be because of the firmware I have extracted for my Broadcom 4306 (rev 3) wireless card. I've been having other problems getting it working which may be related. It also has a Radeon 9000, and I've heard ATI cards can be problematic in Linux.

I'll post a screencap when I reboot.
