Bug Description

TrueCrypt (http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads.php) is popular Free open-source disk encryption software for Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Linux.
TrueCrypt packages for Ubuntu can be obtained, but it isn't available through the repositories. A lot of people seem to use it, so it would make sense to include it in the next Ubuntu release.

Yeah, the package is available on the TrueCrypt website. Another is available in the forums, but it seems to be broken. It would be nice if the forum post (now locked) http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=477242 was at least appended to include that the best package is available through the truecrypt site at the above mentioned URL. Then if we could get an approved package in the repositories, life would be back to normal.
