Bug Description

This is my line i fstab:

//192.168.0.3/files /mnt/files smb credentials=/home/f/.smbpasswd,fmask=000,dmask=000,uid=f,gid=f 0 0

After uppgrading to gutsy, it always get like this when I mount /mnt/files:

f@air:/mnt$ ls -l
total 16
drwxr-xr-x 2 f f 4096 2007-04-18 17:46 files
f@air:/mnt$ sudo mount files
f@air:/mnt$ ls -l
total 12
?--------- ? ? ? ? ? files

It worked perfectly in Feisty.

The server is running Feisty.

Could you try to use cifs instead of smb in your fstab line ?

For example:
//192.168.0.3/files /mnt/files cifs //credentials=/home/f/.smbpasswd,fmask=000,dmask=000,uid=f,gid=f 0 0

Using Mathias's suggestion is this still an issue for you?
Is this still an issue for you after upgrading to later versions of Ubuntu (namely, Hardy)?

Thanks!
