Bug Description

I've installed nuvolaplayer from the stable (and the beta) repository, but no matter what I try, the player won't even start.
I'm running Kubuntu 14.10 x64

Console output is full of non-printable characters:

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue. However, I cannot reproduce it in a clean Ubuntu 14.10 installation.

The console output suggests that Nuvola Player cannot start because library loader on your system fails to load a shared library and outputs some binary garbage instead of a name of the library. I've never seen such behavior and have no idea what's wrong. It might also be misconfiguration of your system, filesystem corruption or a hardware failure.

This happens with ffprobe and other applications as well, so nuvola won't be the cause of it

affects: nuvola-player → ubuntu

Ran into the problem with ffprobe and ffmpeg as well (both the avconv and the original version)
