Bug Description

Please package this CPAN module

http://search.cpan.org/dist/Digest-Whirlpool/Whirlpool.pm

as libdigest-whirlpool-perl.

This is an alternative to the SHA1 hash function, which has been showing more and more signs of weakness under crytographic analysis. It's needed as a dependency for bug #137103, packaging request for opengrade.

I think the CPAN module is just a wrapper for some C code. I've noticed that there is already a debian package called md5deep, and one of the executables it installs is whirlpooldeep. I don't know whether the C implementation in whirlpooldeep is different from, or the same as, the one underlying the CPAN module.

Thanks!
