Why the addition of the package should get considered:
It will replace vncviewer in gutsy+1 :)

Seriously, this is a vnc client well integrated to GNOME, and i hope it will get in GNOME 2.22.

Fernando has packaged vinagre and its main dependency, gtk-vnc widget:

I think this should wait for Gutsy + 1 then. Please consider offering a preview package in an LP PPA.

Do you have a separate bug open for gtk-vnc; if not, please open it - I have a bunch of comments for that package.

 - I'd personally add '.' at each of the lines of the description.
 - Please add the year of copyright to debian/copyright
 - debian/docs not necessary
 - why do you need python-central?
 - dpkg-source: error: Version number suggests Ubuntu changes, but Maintainer: does not have Ubuntu address
 - minor: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/vinagre

Has my +1. Needs a second ACK.

Also Depends on bug 139371 - so might be more of a gutsy+1 material.

I've sponsored the upload, the package is in hardy now

Thanks for only uploading this to Ubuntu and not getting this into Hardy via Debian. The package quality is impressing:

* Do we really use XSBC-Original-Maintainer when a package hasn't Debian as its origin?
* I don't see any connection of the maintainer stated to the Debian GNOME maintainers as stated in the uploaders section of the source package.
* The description is really arkward.
* The maintainer doesn't know about dh_installdocs.
* The manual page is a joke, it's at most a stub to silence lintian. At least he does know about dh_installman, or not.

Uh, and what I missed: I did not see an archived entry on revu for this. That one should really have gone through the usual reviewing process.

Nice comments, that really encourage Ubuntu do contribute to Debian. Looks like that you should learn about cdbs though
