Ubuntu tool bar and icons gone clock start sound etc

For some reason, my computor (prob need a new one) an 8 year old ompaq converted to Ubuntu a year ago by my computor guru Matt Ford, has a lot of issues, the latest is no sound or icon for sound used to be top right of screen, no clock, no date no start button etc.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

Unfortunately there was never enough information included in your report that would have helped a developer to resolve your issue. You didn't even tell us which version of Ubuntu you were using.
