System suspend during start up

During start up when the log in screen appears after few seconds the system suspends. After waking the system up everything works correctly.

Also, sometimes, when I want to shut down the system it keeps rebooting each time I press power button or click power off option in KDE.

The issues started to appear after upgrade to Kubuntu 14.04. I have problems on one of my laptops. The other, also with Kubuntu 14.04 works correctly.

Artur, we are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an issue? Can the bug report now be closed? If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately 60 days time.
