Bug Description
I have installed the amd64 desktop version of 14.04 inside VMware Workstation. When trying to lock the screen, the screen becomes disabled, but the windows and icons are not hidden. I can successfully unlock the screen by entering my password. I would have expected the windows and their contents to be hidden. Additionally the Unity launcher and icons are still visible on the left hand side of the screen. Here are my system details.
Host OS: Windows 7 64-bit
VMware: Workstation 10.0.1-1379776
VMware Tools: 9.6.1 build-1378637
Guest OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Desktop amd-64

Added output of lspci. I think this may be driver related. I also noticed that "waking" the VM up from a blank screen also causes artifacts.
