VLC: Menu does not show up

The new menu in the application window does not always show up on hover in VLC. In order to reproduce the probem, perform the following steps:

1. Start VLC
2. Click Help->About
3. Close the popup again by clicking the "x" in the new window
4. Again hover the menu, it will not show up again

VLC does not manage the menu hovering. This is done by QtGui and Unity.

This problem does not occur in other Qt applications, therefore it is somehow connected to VLC.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version.
