The old version of this game is packaged under the name Bos in Debian. The package might be renamed to boswars as that is the new name.
I havn't gotten any information on what the maintainer of "bos" for Debian is going to do on this issue.

I must say that that's a bit frustrating as the ubuntu package was ready last Tuesday, but REVU is down so it hasn't been reviews yet.

Good progress is being made by the Debian Games team on this. I'm setting the Ubuntu task to "triaged", as I don't believe this is best addressed by an Ubuntu upload, especially as the Debian Games team strives for package identity with Ubuntu, and is very welcoming of Ubuntu contributions.

I have already supplied an Ubuntu package and it made it into gutsy, but was quickly released of it's duty by the debian games packaging team, so I consider this bug fixed.

Currently the boswars team is working on reviewing patches for the graphics and that might set of a new packaging request, but till that time, this bug should be closed and considered fixed.

This has been packaged under the name boswars(-data) and has been excepted into (at least) Ubuntu Hardy.
