Bug Description
As a hoped for workaround to the bug reported in #1258397 (can't see rename text in Nemo's icon view - only black on black), I've noticed that you can see file names you attempt to rename in Nemo's list view; however, you get one chance to rename a file, or a portion of the filename... after that, all further rename attempts fail to respond in any way to cursor or mouse input or movement until you logout and log back in! Closing Nemo won't help... no further changes can be made until you close your session. If you rename a part of the file name and move the cursor to another part during the same rename operation - no more UI response.
This first appeared in the Mint 16 Petra RC and continues in the stable release (clean install and up-to-date). I am using Cinnamon 64-bit.

Further information
- nemo does not accept any keyboard input, not even to its path display field (after CTRL-L)
- after restarting nemo rename works -- but again only for once
- once nemo refuses to accept keyboard input, even nautilus behaves the same way
Mint 16, Cinnamon, 64 bit
I would consider this bug as serious, as it makes all work with files and directories impossible.
