Wireless on during boot implies long boot time

When my wireless net device is turned on during boot, the boot process waits for 30-60 seconds more than when it is turned off. I'm using Kubuntu/Feisty on an IBM T60 laptop.

auto lo

# auto eth1
# iface eth1 inet dhcp

# auto eth2
# iface eth2 inet dhcp

# iface wlan0 inet dhcp

when your not using wireless, this could solve your problem.

I am using wireless all the time. But there is no connection at boot because it requires a passphrase. The connection is first established when I log in.

Thanks for your comment. However I don't thinks this suggestion is a solution for "Joe Average".

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release?
