Bug Description

When clicking a mounted FTP link in the Places menu, it opens up firefox. I'm
not sure if this is intentional, but shouldn't it rather open using nautilus?

do you have an output if you run "gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp" ?

As you probably expected, it outputs this:

ruben@tokyo:~ $ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp
 needs_terminal = false
 command = /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/firefox "%s"
 enabled = true

I however do not recall myself changing that

could you:
- mv ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp ~
- killall gconfd-2
- killall gnome-panel

and try again ?

Great, works perfectly now. The gconf key is empty now.

I have a slight idea that this could be because of the Mozilla Firefox setting
"Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting.". This
was on when I was using gentoo and I copied over my entire .mozilla folder. I'm
only discovering it this late because I'm only starting to use GNOME VFS mounts now.

fine. This was due to an user setting, I'm closing the bug. BTW if you find what
is setting this key (I'll try with firefox), feel free to reopen the bug so we
can fix the app.
