Home folder encryption doesn't work

Although the installation procedure asks the user if he would like to encrypt his home folder, no encryption is performed at all.
I tried to manually encrypt the home folder after installation by:
- installing and enabling SSH server
- setting a password for the root user
- rebooting
- logging remotely to the tablet from my laptop
- entering the command "ecryptfs-migrate-home -u myusername"
but I got the following error message:
