Please sync funguloids (1.06-4) into multiverse from Debian unstable (contrib). http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/contrib/f/funguloids/funguloids_1.06-4.dsc

This package is not in the Ubuntu archives.

Here are the most recent changes.

   * Addressing lintian debian-rules-ignores-make-clean-error warning.
   * Added --force-missing option in automake.
   * Added -f option in autoheader and autoconf.
   * Repacked tarball to remove files that are added by --force-missing option.

"Never before has collecting mushrooms been this mildly entertaining. At least not in outer space. It's more of a lifestyle than a game, really. Now with graphics and sound, too!"

Seriously though, we like to think the game as a space-flying-mushroom-picking-simulator. Well no, "Those Funny Funguloids!" is actually a nice little piece of entertainment. You collect mushrooms, bring them back to your home base and profit! That's the basic idea in a nutshell. It has smooth, appealing 3d graphics and nice atmospheric sound effects. Go ahead and try it out - it has sounds too!

Those Funny Funguloids needs Ogre version 1.4.1 to run.

A lot of work has gone into making Funguloids work well on GNU/Linux.

Andres Mejia from the Debian pkg-games team has been working on this already, I would encourage you to join efforts with him, as maintaining this separately in Ubuntu leads to more work and more problems.

It's in Debian. Can we still sync for gutsy?

http://packages.debian.org/lenny/funguloids
http://packages.debian.org/sid/funguloids

1) it impacts no other packages
2) it should Just Work (tm)
3) it is from a trusted source (debian) .. hence code review for security and stability issues impacting other packages should be unnessesary

I was wondering if this had been included in Gutsy. I guess not, this is a great game!

I'm sure this sync will have to wait until the freeze is lifted.

Builds fine on hardy, but cannot install due to an unsatisfied dependency on ogre-plugins-cgprogrammanager. I suspect a sync is close, but there's a little more preparation required. I've unsubscribed ubuntu-universe-sponsors for the time being: please resubscribe when the package may compile and install smoothly.
