Bug Description
I have a MSI U160 that has been running 12.3 with few problem, some system errors, but no crashes.
I tried to upgrade to 12.10 and the system kept locking up, mouse moved but nothing worked. I couldn't use backup or any office application without locking up and when did key combination to bring up the terminal it would be black and I needed to power off and on. I tried to upgrade to 13..4 with same result. I then did a new install, with 13.4 and still had same problems.
I have now reinstalled 12.3 and not having lockups, just occasionally, again, Ubuntu says the system had an error and needs to send a report, but no major problems (once locked up but think had too many windows open)
Data for system
CPU: Intel® Atom™ CPU N450 @ 1.66GHz × 2
Graphics: Intel® IGD x86/MMX/SSE2
OSI 32-bit
Memory 992.2 MiB
Hard dirve 491.2 GB
I am not running anything really unusual, except arduino system which uses java, but it wasn't running when the system locked up and with the new install, only had standard packages
I hope you can find out what is wrong as I really like ubuntu
