Ubuntu 12.04 freezes when installing a new font from the default GUI application

Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
Release: 12.04

Every time I try to install a new font the system become unresponsive and needs hard reboot. So to reproduce this bug, download a new font, open it with the default application and click on the Install button.

I don't get the problem by downloading the extra Edubuntu fonts (using precise).

Gabriele, we are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an issue? Can this bug report now be closed?

If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately 60 days time.
