Bug Description

I got to this point because I was trying to uninstall google chrome as I am having problems with it since the upgrade & am ready to PAY someone to see if I have to remove UBUNTU completely & get Windows or whatever as my boyfriend keeps telling me. I had some struggles before, but now am angry every time I try to use my computer. No loading, crashing after loading, freezing, corrupted screen which makes it impossible to read. Hours where it should take minutes, which is the opposite of how a computer should function, supposed to help not hinder your life. Right? Sorry for my tone, I have been struggling with this for far too long! This is the latest system upgrade. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Melinda
PS, I don't know how to find #'s 1 & 2 but I hope I have provided enough info for #'s 3 & 4.

Hi,
I am sorry to read about your problems. This bug is quite old now, and I am not sure it is actually a bug. Are you still having these problems?
It looks as if you had something installed that was conflicting with other packages, causing them to be removed.
If you are new to Ubuntu and can easily backup the data you want to keep to another disk, it might be best to try a fresh install of the latest Ubuntu, rather than doing an upgrade.
These types of problems are generally best dealt with by asking on the Ubuntu Forums for help:
http://ubuntuforums.org/
Normally someone there will be able to help you track down the problem, and if it is a bug, help you find the exact software package to report the bug against.
