I am missing OCRopus in Ubuntu Intrepid. How is it going on?

Oh, I haven't looked at that in a while. Tell you what, since you nudged me,
I'll work on it again, see if I can get it going again up to Ubuntu Motu
quality...

I'll let you know when its done, could even send you a testing/alpha deb if
you want.

I tried - but got stuck somehow... - Well, as OCR is really not big in linux at all I guess this could be a good step forward for ubuntu!

In the next synchronisation :) probably will land in karmic, but let's hope the new ocropus will be in Debian soon!

Wow! Thanks a lot!

I got it to work under Jaunty. The results are not perfect, but respectable - and by far the best that I have ever ever seen under linux! Thank you!

(My hope is still that one day I can use something like a "paperless office". - I had to burry that thought when switching to linux several years ago...)
