Bug Description
I suggest to package the eezUPNP Player for ubuntu, just using it on i386 and amd64 with hand install.
Cause: Ubuntu is lacking a proper upnp / dlna player that is simply doing upnp. Totem-upnp was removed, vlc is very buggy and lacks upnp remote operation and discovery.
Goals: eezUPNP is a java program that runs on the standard ubuntu jre on i386 and amd64. It discover all upnp media servers AND upnp renderer in his subnet. Then you can move all files from all servers to all renderer, create and play everything to every device. So you can remote control all renderers in your net. You can export upnp files to connected devices. eezUPNP did not cache and slowdown, it took and discover what is in the moment of use. Handling with 18k of music files and divx movies to my sharp tv is pretty handy, cause it did not cache.
Test environment: DNS-323 (Alt-F) with minidlna, Sharp Aquos LE40, Phillips Stremium 5520 / 730, Terratec Noxon, Avox Indio Petite, Thinkpad x41-wlan.
