Corruption on background during OEM installation user configuration on HP Mini 210

Bug Description

Following the instructions as per "Install (OEM setup) in Ubuntu Desktop amd64 for Quantal Alpha 1" ISO testing http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/Install/DesktopOem test-case: "Case ID: uoi-003", I got screen corruption on an HP Mini-210 - see attached photo

This disappeared when I tried to take a screen snapshot of the corruption with the print screen key.
