Bug Description
On December 22, 2017 Mozilla released Thunderbird 52.5.2, fixing five security issues:

The most severe of these bugs only affects Windows. However, the update also addresses two issues categorized as “high”, one “moderate”, and another one “low” risk, which seem to affect all platforms including Linux. Almost two weeks later, there is still no sign of this update arriving in the Ubuntu repositories.
