I encountered basic256 locking up on the "t" when typing "print" or pasting text with the "t" character.

Work around found:
Instead of launching from the main menu, open a terminal window.
At the prompt type "basic256 &" (no quotes) and close the terminal window by typing "exit" (no quotes).

BASIC-256 launches and runs without the aforementioned issue.

Happy programming!!!

BASIC-256 0.9.2 is very out of date. The current version 0.9.6.27 runs very well under 10.04 and 9.10. There are many other fixes and changes. The source code is available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/kidbasic/

Hi folks,
I'm working on updating the package in Debian, I'm hoping to have it uploaded within the next few days. Afterwards, I'll see what I can do about getting it synced into Ubuntu.
