Bug Description

Since the Launchpad ticket:
MAC address needs to be unique and unchanged during entire netboot process
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-z-systems/+bug/1646805
is required, but no sufficient for having unique MAC addresses during the entire LPAR netboot process on a DPM system (IBM Z or LinuxONE),
this ticket was opened to just track the status of the needed s390x firmware adjustments.

The OS side got fixed in between with LP 1646805 - hence this ticket is Fix Released and remains as it is.
This one need to be reverse mirrored.

IBM Bugzilla status -> closed. Code was made available within Distribution and Firmware. If a problem will come up during testing, a new bugzilla-LP will be opened.

For completeness reasons some more details:
OSD interfaces of an LPAR in a CEC in (traditional) PRSM mode do not provide persistent MAC addresses.
For DPM mode this was solved, there the OSD interfaces do provide consistent MACs.
(HiperSockets interfaces in LPARs, OSD and HiperSockets in zVM guests also provide consistent MACs in PRSM mode and DPM mode).

This function is currently not available for LPARs in PRSM mode....

Thx for the details - that's fine since we focus on DPM systems only with that (because there are even more features we need that only DPM provides).
