Bug Description

Pls. check the Ubuntu Hashes page:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuHashes
At the 15th of October 2008, I went there to check the integrity of my downloaded Kubuntu 8.10 Beta i386 iso file. But there, I did not find any code of Kubuntu 8.10. Also the codes of Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Edubuntu 8.10 have not yet been mentioned there.

This is the code that came out when when I checked the MD5SUM integrity of my downloaded iso file:
b054fd985294c80dcd6400fede533c72 kubuntu-8.10-beta-desktop-i386.iso

I have downloaded this file from an Ubuntu mirror in The Netherlands. May be you can do the MD5SUM check from the same iso file, but downloaded from one or two other mirrors.

Thanks, respectfully Yours,

Bas Roufs.

The relevant hashes will be added when Ubuntu 8.10 has been released.

Thanks for your quick first reaction.

Both decisions are perfectly OK for me.
The only info I am waiting for in this stage is the hash code that will
come out from one or a few other MD5SUM checks from Kubuntu i.386 files
downloaded via some bit torrent software, but from one or a few other
Ubuntu mirrors than the one I have used, the one in The Netherlands.

Respectfully Yours,

Bas Roufs.

Dear everybody

Via the Kubuntu users forum, I already received the information I was
looking for. There, they pointed me at this page:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/kubuntu/8.10/MD5SUMS
Via this page, MD5SUMS of other Ubuntu distros can be found:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/

Respectfully Yours,

Bas.

Hi nilmo,
I don't see any reason to create an additional task for ubuntu, that's why I'm closing this task as Invalid.
But if there is a good reason, feel free to reopen this task by flipping the status back to New and add an explanation in a comment.

Thanks
Markus
