Bug Description

At the bottom of web page [http://www.ubuntu.com/products/whatisubuntu/derivatives] is the text "This is a partial list (if you are aware of derivatives not listed here, notify us by submitting a bug report.)"

Freespire 2.0 (www.freespire.org) and Linspire 6.0 (www.linspire.com) are based upon Ubuntu 7.04 (but use the KDE interface).

Note also that previous versions of Freespire'/Linspire were based upon pure Debian. Future Freespire releases should track Ubuntu releases while Linspire should remain essentially unchanged for longer periods of time. Note that Canonical management repportedly signed an agreement with Linspire Inc. regarding this new derivative and in return, all of the Linux applications software that Linspire maintains for Linspire/Freespire distros will be made available to the Ubuntu comminity. Yes, Linspire probably rubs Mark Shuttlesworth [sp?] the wrong way because Freespire adds some proprietary 'stuff' to their distro while Linspire not only adds more such stuff but has signed a 'technology sharing agreement' with Micro$oft (aka 'the devil')!

As much as I hate Linspire, I'll have to confirm this one.

Ubuntu website doesn't track unofficial derivatives anymore.
You can add your derivative to wiki though: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DerivativeTeam/Derivatives
