Bug Description
Kubuntu and Xubuntu, both have https links which would be better placed for the external links.
Easy Test from the Flavours-
http://
Counter test is possible by installation of the Firefox-Addon
"HTTPs-everywhere"
Tests have shown that the Kubuntu switches over then, just if you deactivate encryption, it connects over normal http://
This means the choice is left with the user, as it may not be ideal if one is on a restricted data-rate with a mobile device.

The projects can do this by themself with redirect, if they wish so. That's the common way if one doesn't want to spoil SEO.
