The search is return results under "Guidelines" column. There are no results for examples and downloads. Is that incorrect?

Ant.

Oh my goodness. I didn't even realize those "Guidelines" links were search results! In my defence, they look nothing at all like search results. They have no underlining, no extract with matching text highlighted, no date, no nothing. And they all end in ">". The net result is that they look exactly like secondary navigation, so I tuned them out.

I think this report is still valid, though. On a page that does, in fact, display search results, you shouldn't see "Sorry, no results have been found" even once, let alone twice. Instead of using three columns where two of them will almost always be empty, I suggest one column with subheadings for those kinds of documents that have any results.

Separately, the "downloads" search shows that design.ubuntu.com/downloads is being classified as a "Guidelines" result rather than a "Downloads" result, which is obviously wrong, though that may be a separate bug.

Yes complete agree.

I believe this bug will be resolved with the search results page being redesigned and layed out in a more user friendly way. Setting this bug to confirmed and will pass this on to be scheduled.

Thanks,
Ant.
