I don't think the redirect fixed the issue. I can still see the old favicon in most URLs under that subdomain.

I see, I was not aware of other sub domains using this asset.

Could you please list the sub domains/pages that use this favicon and I will work to get them updated.

that would be http://people.ubuntu.com/~launchpadname for every Ubuntu Member, for example http://people.ubuntu.com/~alanbell/
the asset to change is http://people.ubuntu.com/favicon.ico
