Bug Description
Currently (with bug 788207) when an application detail page displays, we load reviews asynchronously for display - but these are language independent.
We need to define a way of displaying the most appropriate language, while enabling the user to see reviews in other languages. Perhaps the client has already solved this - we talked about showing the user-preferred language first, then all languages?

mvo points out that the lang selection is in the spec, but it doesn't sound too useful: /wiki.ubuntu. com/SoftwareCen ter/RatingsAndR eviews# in_different_ languages
"Note that this is also speced in a slightly different way here:
https:/
The spec says that there should be a pulldown with a list of languages that reviews are available and the number of reviews. TBH I think that is not very useful as 90% of the pulldown will be languages that the user does not understand (assuming that most people have only a single secondary language that they can read reasonable well). Plus it would require us to massively increase the amount of data we send in the review stats. So for now I consider this a bug in the spec that needs fixing."
We also discussed a number of options on email, such as: (1) doing what the client currently does - your (browser's) lang first, then other reviews (most useful?), (2) your lang first, then most useful reviews - translated, or easily translateable).
Another option could be something similar to the spec, but instead of a dropdown of all langs + counts, do an autocomplete.
