Bug Description

The wind details are presented like so:

Vind
25
km/h S

What happens:
"km/h S" is ambiguous

What should have happened:
Spell out the direction, or separate them "km/h — S", or an arrow for the direction e.g. "➘" for SE.

UX Comment:

Thanks for reporting this.

The use of N, E, S, W, etc is ubiquitous in weather services to the degree that it should not be overly ambiguous (The Weather Channel, BBC Weather, Accuweather, etc) and appears clearer in the updated design for the Weather App).

The introduction of a directional arrow in addition to the text could be nice visual refinement. Will pass along to Visual Design for their input.

summary: - Wind details are difficult to understand at first
+ Details on wind are ambiguous

Hi Jonas! Thanks for taking the time to file this issue. There is a large update for the app that changes how some of these layouts present data. The way the wind speed is displayed in this newly designed version [1] should fix the ambiguity somewhat. Perhaps a directional arrow would work better. We'll need to see what the Design team thinks about the change.
