Bug Description

It’s happened to me a few times that my alarm wakes me up in the morning, I tap the snooze button to sleep 10 minutes more, but end up getting up before then. In that case, it would be very handy to have an option to cancel the pending snooze so that the alarm doesn’t go off again.

I could think of two possible solutions:

1) in the indicator-datetime for the alarm there should be an action (perhaps via left/right swipe) to cancel the pending alarm
2) if you snooze the alarm, it should still show up as enabled in the clock app with an indication that it's going to sound again., and provide an option to cancel it. currently it shows up disabled.

So basically a snoozed alarm should stay in the indicator and clock app after snoozing and be able to be cancelled at any time after that. It shouldnt' disappear from indicator until it's actually done (i.e. user presses ok and not snooze), but currently it does disappear.

Adding ubuntu-ui-toolkit as effect probject since this can require some new feature on Alarm API.

The agreed upon action here is what is stated in comment #2: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1539621/comments/2

So the work will need to be done in indicator-datetime to leave the snoozed item in the menu and provide an ability to cancel it.

@Pat McGowan (pat-mcgowan): Will this bug be fixed in OTA 13 or did it miss this milestone? Thanks

The status of the bug is still "confirmed", meaning it hasn’t been fixed yet. It will indeed miss the milestone.

Being highly irritated by the current (non)communication regarding Ubuntu Touch, I would like to ask about the future regarding this bug (and bugs like this).

The "option to cancel pending snooze" is a feature which is neccessary for a mobile OS, independently whether it will be called Ubuntu Touch or Ubuntu Personal, whether it uses click or snap.

I am curious to know what the future approach is to tackle this bug (and bugs like this)? Thanks a lot!
